We should invent a WORLD for it. >( And a civilization. And society. Because I’m honestly torn between making the Leafmen have all sorta devices, mills, heating, plumbing, WHATEVER, and just claiming they sleep in crooks between rocks and bathe in the show in winter. Are they even active in wintertime? Do they build homes for themselves? They HAVE to have blacksmiths, because SWORDS (unless that’s like a miniature Excalibur or whatnot), but smithies mean mining and fire and FIRE, I mean that’s not that okay in a forest and I just what, people what, come on, feed me, I need info, I’m writing fanfic. ;___;
I WANT TO KNOW CURRENCYI do believe that the LeafMen have devices, mills, heating, because they’re in the Taconics (Bomba’s mug says White Plains Science Department, and the license plate in the credits says Westchester County, and that’s about an hour out of NYC—I have an aunt in Peekskill—and that makes it Westchester County, and that makes the mountains/foothills seen in film as the Taconic Mountain Range), and that gets cold at night.
Have you read My Side of the Mountain? Granted, it’s placed in the Catskills, but it’s a very similar environment. And I place at lot of LeafMen tech as right around cutting-edge Medieval time. So smiths (they have worked metal in Leaf-Men uniforms), woodcarvers and tanners (look at the saddles for the hummingbirds), and then of course the industry that would go with supporting a civilization, like farming, brewing, dying (you have to have dyes to get the kind of colors they do), weavers, and tailors.
Given what we see in film, they definitely have a civilization. What it doesn’t tell us is the extent of it. The bird-racing implies they have some form of currency (because barter doesn’t exactly equal gambling), and that’s what I want to know. I WANT TO KNOW THEIR UNITS OF CURRENCY. Do they pay LeafMen? Do they have lawyers? (I kinda doubt that, at least). Is the Queen the ultimate arbiter in disputes? (which opens wealth of possibility for AU/prequel/postquel fanfic/rp).

Westchester? I’m thiiiiis close to writing an XMen/Epic crossover next. Westchester is where the X Mansion is~ Hank McCoy and Bomba could be friends or something. I dunno. XD
And My Side of the Mountain is the book I’ve read the most times XD

1. Meaning behind my url: I’m an avid fan of Kingdom Hearts games and some Final Fantasy games. Zero Gravity spells were my favourite when I was playing KH:BBS and -za is the highest spell tier I knhw of, though I’ve never accomplished a Zero Graviza spell as of yet XD
16. Favorite movie: Well… That’s a can of worms, now, isn’t it? I like a lot of movies. Right now I’m itching yo watch Final Fantasy: Advent Children, do we’ll go with that.
